ASSISTANT COACH LANDON HAY
Landon Hay is in his first year as an assistant coach on the Missouri Southern Baseball team. Hay will be responsible for working with the catchers and will also coach first base.
Hay comes to Southern after a four-year playing career as a catcher with Washburn University. Hay was a five-year member of the Ichabod's baseball team where he played in 42 career games with 20 starts at catcher. Hay was a .280 career hitter with a career on-base percentage of .509 and a fielding percentage of .980. Hay threw out 56 percent of would-be base-stealers in his career.
A native of Lawrence, Kan., Hay prepped at Lawrence High School where he was a three-year letterman for LHS.
Hay graduated in 2017 from Washburn with a bachelors degree in history and is currently pursuing a masters degree in education from Missouri Southern.
